Il Contesto - Rivista tematica
First edited in 2001 by a group of students from the University of Torino, Italy, since 2009 Il Contesto is an independent six-monthly magazine that publish on society, politics, and culture.
Editors
Hermes Delgrosso is one of the founders, and current editors, of Il Contesto. He worked for two and a half years in a call center, and was a journalist of the weekly magazine Sport Piemonte and Il Corriere Sportivo. He was enrolled as editor in the Turin-based editorial company “Tirrenia Stampatori”. He is currently employed at the Transport Council of the Regional Government of Piemonte, Italy.
Simone Natale is Ph.D. student at the Graduate School in Communication Studies, University of Torino, Italy. He studied and worked in Germany, Argentina, and USA. Since 2008 he is Researcher for the International Center of Studies Primo Levi in Torino. As a journalist, he writes and photographs for several Italian magazines. He is one of the founder of Il Contesto, which directed from 2008 to 2009. He is now Visiting Scholar at the Concordia University of Montreal, Canada.
Webmaster
Andrea Ballatore is a PhD student in the School of Computer Science and Informatics at University College Dublin. His research interests include Location-Based Services, Human-Computer Interaction, Geographic Information Systems and Implicit Feedback Analysis. He received his MSc degree from the University of Turin (Italy) in 2006 in Virtual Reality and Multimedia. In 2007 he worked as a software developer of large-scale information systems for a major Italian insurance company. From 2007 until 2009, he worked for design company 3dcadsoft in Dublin, developing and maintaining CAD tools for interior design. He's on Twitter.
